I See An America - Volume 1 Issue 10 - Politically Incorrect? Confederate Flag Waves High

08/04/08 | by admin [mail] | Categories: Political, Legal, Media, Sports

I read the news today, oh boy! It was about the super sized confederate flags waving high in the South. It's the nature of things in America that a big brouhaha will develop out of this. Fascinating.

Follow up:

I find America's decade long kowtowing to political correctness to be one of many disheartening trends in America--but perhaps the easiest trend to correct.

Whatever happened to "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me?" Are we that much a nation of wimps that words alone can carry so much impact as to be disrespectful, necessitating a violent reaction? So stay tuned, let's see which politicians jump on this issue, and which side they jump on. The answer I'd really like to hear on this issue would be from Charles Barkley. Chuck, are you reading this? I have to believe that he'd come up with a killer, common sense take on the confederate flag issue.

I see an America that is at a crucial junction in its future. The choices and actions we make today will have long lasting impact on our country's future.
