I See An America - Volume 1 Issue 37 - Banks: Bail or Jail?

It is more and more apparent that the banks are not content to rest on their laurels of having put us in this economic recession, they aim to keep us there.

Bad enough is the greed banking displayed during the sub-prime mortgage lending frenzy, worse was the recent arrogance of banking's top officers in accepting huge bonuses in light of their abysmal performance.

But now instead of pumping the bailout monies back into the economy to get it jumped started--the very reason the bailout funds were made available to the banks in the first place, they are hoarding their cash to pump up their balance sheets and buying each other out, further cannibalizing a weakened industry.

Seeing as how you and I, the taxpayer, are the ultimate source of the bank's bailout monies, I think it appropriate to contemplate placing the bank's top officers under citizens' arrest for fraud, malfeasance, and misuse of public funds.

I see an America that is at a crucial junction in its future. The choices and actions we make today will have long lasting impact on our country's future.
